gave you the ability to shoot lasers from your eyes…

Oooh, there could be like a switch to turn up the intensity of the lasers, a warm glow for people you like and an uncomfortable heat for people you don’t like.

im 13 now and short sighted. i wear contact lenses because glasses do my head in but they are sometimes alot of hassle. iv thought about getting laser eye surgery when im older (alot older, dont worry!) but im not sure of the risks and iv heard from a couple of people that it doesn’t even correct your eyes fully. has anybody had this surgery done ? what are the risks ? help would be much appreciated.
thanks x

There are risks involving laser eye surgery. I suggest you read information on this website:

You may be interested to know that there is an alternative treatment for short sightedness called natural vision correction. It consists of specific eye exercises and techniques that can improve your eye sight and it’s completely safe. I used to be short sighted with slight astigmatism and was able to improve my vision completely with these exercises.

Eye exercises require persistence, but they are worth every bit of it.

Hope this helps!

I am a sophomore in high school and I am pretty sure this is what I want to do. How can I get a degree in ophthalmology and become strictly a Lasik surgeon? Are there any very good schools in the state of GA or fairly close? Any help would be much appreciated.

4 years of college, then med school, be a resident, intern and do a fellowship. You have to be an Ophthalmologist a "MD" to do LASIK.

I’ve haven’t gone to the optomologist since I had laser eye surgery last year, but now, I kinda get the feeling that my vision is dimming. Is it just because I’ve gotten use to having a perfect vision and I still want more? I don’t have problem seeing or anything, it’s just a feeling.

Has anyone else experience that?

it’s been a little over a year and while I wouldn’t change a thing I feel it’s ‘dimmer’ as well and I need to focus when I look up from reading (don’t wear reading glasses don’t need them)… I went for my annual check up & my opthomologist said it’s ‘normal’ for my age (i’m over 40yrs).. you should go get yours checked – you’re supposed to still go once a year (or so I was told … ) it wouldn’t hurt right? good luck!

I was quoted £1500 per eye! for a op they say takes about 10 miins, that works out at about £9000 per hour they are charging! Even my lawyer would be embarrassed to charge that much!
so much for the advertised prices you see for less than £400.

Ugh, I know! I got a quote for £1950 per eye and they told me they couldn’t guarantee it would be permanent due to a genetic eye condition I have! I would love to have it done but it’s just not going to happen!
