As with any surgery, there is a definite risk incurred. You must be screened for suitability and examined by the doctor personally. (Not the sales team to mislead you to get expensive package deal). You are still growing, and your vision is still changing. Just get contacts for now, and when you are in your 20's or 30's consider it.
