Unfortunately there isn’t anything really that has been proven to work. The science behind all the factors that cause nearsightedness or myopia is incomplete and we are still learning what leads to this worsening. It is thought that it is a combination of genetice and visual imput. There seems to be some association with near work.

carrots do improve ur vision but u have to eat alot of them they also don't taste good so don't eat them just to improve ur vision

There are eye exercises that are alleged to improve vision, but I doubt if they work, but if you care that much give them a try. I wore contacts for 18 years. My vision did get worse, but much less than if I wore glasses. I had 3 pairs of contacts in 18 years. Had I worn glasses I would have had to change the prescription every 2-3 years. I never would have worn contacts if they had the stylish, light plastic lenses that they do today.
